Saltwater Grille is built out over the waters of Casco Bay, with all the splendor of the Portland skyline as it’s backdrop. Located on the second level, our two private rooms offer a series of flexible spaces, allowing us to host events of all styles. Our experienced event staff will handle all the details while you enjoy your seaside celebration.

Rehearsal Dinner

We hosted a Rehearsal dinner event, food was excellent from co*cktails, hors d’oevres to dessert. The food included blackened salmon, prime rib and veggie options. The view was amazing, with a backdrop of the Portland bay view. Very romantic setting! Service was amazing, staff were very professional. Amy Lewis did an excellent job coordinating everything from recommendations regarding decorating the place and food options to please everyone. The wedding couple and their entourage, families and friends were pleasantly surprised. It was a lifetime event to cherish and remember. Thank you again Amy and the wonderful staff.

I had my daughter’s bridal shower in the Spinnaker room. The view is amazing and the food and service was superior! I highly recommend choosing this place for all your special occasion needs! Basically, all you have to do is show up, they take care of everything!

We had our wedding at the Saltwater Grille in September 2023. We first met Amy when we set up a tour of the room. We instantly fell in love with the venue and from that moment on,
Amy made everything so easy! She gave us a timeline of when she needed things from us (headcount’s, food, etc) and she was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. Amy literally went above and beyond with everything – she gave us recommendations of transportation companies in the area for our guests. When our DJ canceled on us 3 days prior to our wedding, Amy offered to reach out to everyone she knew to help us find someone. The day of, Amy beautifully decorated the room for us and even figured out how to perfectly position the drapery on our arch. Aside from Amy, the food at the Saltwater Grille was amazing. All of our guests raved about their dinners and apps! Oh and the drinks were also amazing! We are beyond happy with how our day turned out and we have Amy and her crew at the Saltwater Grille to thank for that!
Wedding Rehearsal

Visited as a wedding rehearsal participant. Selected options were very good. The appetizers of bacon-wrapped scallops, chicken teriyaki on a skewer, fish and chip bites, veggies and dips, fruit, and hamburger sliders were perfect and plentiful. I had the the French onion soup, salad, and salmon. All was very good.
The service was friendly and efficient. The view was excellent. The stair chair was much appreciated for my spouse as well as handicapped parking just outside the door. Perfect venue for this occasion.
Bridal Shower

Saltwater Grille was a fantastic place for my bridal shower! The upstairs room was the perfect size for our event. I liked how there was the room with round tables for our lunch and then a separate, connected room for gifts, decorations, favors, etc. Our guests loved the ocean views, complete with the Portland skyline. We also had our own private bathrooms and bar upstairs, as well, so we were very separate from the rest of the restaurant. I highly recommend Saltwater Grille for your next private event!
Graduation Party

This was an MBA graduation celebration. We had our event in the Spinnaker room on 9/23/23. There is not anything that could have been better for us, between the room itself, Amy, the coordinator, the folks that helped us in the room, and the food in the drink! Everything was exactly what we wanted.
Private Dinner

We had about 25 people for our family gathering and everything was wonderful! Amy and staff were great and we had every request accommodated. Food was excellent and food service and timing was on point. We had the upstairs room with a great balcony for pictures with a purple sunset. We will definitely recommend SaltWater Grille to our Portland locals for their downing and event plans! Thanks again!

Our wedding was absolutely flawless and every little detail couldn’t have been more perfect. All night, I received compliments from the guests about how amazing the food was. Leading up to the big day, the Event Manager, Amy Lewis, couldn’t have been more helpful covering every detail and easing every one of my pre-wedding worries. Pick-up the next day was extremely easy as the staff had boxed all of our decor for us so all we had to do was put the totes in the car. If I had to do my wedding all over again, I wouldn’t dream of doing it anywhere but the SWG.

The Spinnaker Room is a bright private event space which offers stunning views of the harbor. Cathedral ceilings and large windows elevate the room for an elegant, intimate experience.

The Seawatch Room
The Seawatch Room is our largest event space with Cathedral ceilings and exposed post & beams. A full-service bar & an outside balcony make this a truly special venue for any event.
Max Capacity = 72 guests seated & 100 for a co*cktail event
