Paintings are one of the many secrets that you'll encounter in the Lands Between in Elden Ring. These paintings act as scavenger hunts, where you'll be rewarded for completing them. On this page, you'll find the locations of each of the paintings as well as the solutions and rewards for them.

Each painting you find in the Lands Between will require you to locate the place in the painting. By doing this, you'll 'solve' the painting and receive a reward.

East Limgrave - Homing Instinct

Location: Artist's Shack in Limgrave. This painting can be found on the east side of the long canyon going north from Agheel Lake, just to the northeast of where you can use a Spiritspring jump to get out of the canyon and into East Limgrave, where you'll find an isolated shack.

Solution: Travel to Seaside Ruins and head northwest towards the Cave of Knowledge. There's a graveyard next to an archway, where the ghost will appear there.

• Reward: Incantation Scarab Helmet

West Limgrave - Prophecy

Location: the building just before the Liftside chamber (on the left) in Stormveil Castle, underneath the chapel guarded by an Omen at the back of the large courtyard.

Solution: You'll need to travel to the Church of Pilgrimage in the Weeping Peninsula for this one. Head north from the church, to the very tip of the cliff, looking out to the waterfall. As you approach it, a ghost in a chair should become visible.

• Reward: When you reach them, they'll disappear dropping an item for you to collect. This will be the Warhawk Ashes.

Liurnia - Resurrection

Location: Artist's Shack in East Liurnia, past the Carian Study Hall at the Divine Tower of Liurnia along the main highway, and guarded by a Leyndell Knight.

Solution: Head to Three Sisters in the northern part of Liurnia and go south from the Behind Caria Manor Site of Grace. Find the graveyard, and you'll see the ghost in the chair pointing out towards the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

• Reward: Juvenile Scholar Attire, Larval Tear

Caelid - Redmane

Location: In the centre of Sellia, Town of Sorcery. From the Sellia Under-Stair Site of Grace, head up the stairs, turn right, then look to the rubble on the left (facing east). The painting is tucked away under the arches.

Solution: northeast of Fort Faroth, there's a cliff edge with a lot of pots by the Minor Erdtree. Find the one that sits in the v-shaped edge and drop down onto the tree branch below it. You'll want to follow this to the right and drop down onto the broken pillar. Jump down and across to the pillar to the northwest and onto the tree branch below. As you move towards the edge of the ledge, you should see the spirit looking out towards Redmane Castle near a fallen and incredibly dangerous Golem that won't wake up until you get close.

• Reward: Ash of War - Rain of Arrows

Lenydell, Royal Capital - Flightless Bird

Location: In the Fortified Manor, First Floor where you find the Site of Grace in Leyndell.

Solution: From the Windmill Heights Site of Grace, right at the northern tip of Windmill Village. Head south, towards the edge of the cliff and past the little hut. As you approach, the ghostly figure will appear.

• Reward: Fire's Deadly Sin incantation.

Altus Plateau - Champion's Song

Location: In the Shaded Castle. From the Shaded Castle Ramparts Site of Grace (that's located in the southeast of the castle), go northeast until you see a broken wall and a slope down into a poison pit. There's a wooden set of stairs here, next to the broken wall on the left. The painting is located up the flight of stairs, in the north.

Solution: In Altus Plateau, go to the Rampartside Path Site of Grace. Just to the southwest and behind the Site of Grace, there is a cliff. Head up here (where the Ancient Dragon Lansseax will appear) and look out towards the northwest (you should be able to see the Sainted Hero's Grave). Walk to the edge of the cliff and the ghostly painter will appear.

Mountaintops of the Giants - Sorcerer

Location: Castle Sol in Mountaintops of the Giants. This painting is located in the centre of the castle. From the Castle Sol Main Gate Site of Grace, enter the castle and go through the left, through the barricades. Go right and enter the first room on your left, with all the slugs. Climb the ladder and follow the path around to the southwest, being careful of the enemies and ballista. Take the bridge over to the east, where the second ballista is and once you've dealt with them, drop down the ladder and the painting is in this room.

Solution: At Mountaintops of the Giants you want to find the bridge to the east of Shack of the Lofty and northwest of Stargazer's Ruins. The ghostly figure will be on the part of the bridge that sticks out, looking out towards the east.
