Womöglich haben Sie auf diesen Seiten schon das ein oder andere Mal vom Rezvani Tank gelesen. Das überopulente US-Monstrum ist halb SUV, halb Krisen-Interventions-Rammbock, kommt gerne mit Militär-tauglicher Panzerung und brachialem V8-Antrieb.

Rezvani Tank Military Edition
Jetzt gibt es eine von Grund auf neue Generation, die die Dinge weiter auf die Spitze treibt. Der alte Unterbau auf Basis des letzten Jeep Wrangler JK ist Geschichte. Der Rezvani Tank fürs Modelljahr 2020 nutzt die Plattform des neuen Wrangler JL. Während Sie Amerikas Offroad-Ikone hierzulande aber bereits ab 47.000 Euro bekommen, müssen Sie den Geldbeutel für einen Tank schon ein bisschen weiter öffnen. Das Basismodell startet bei 155.000 US-Dollar (138.000 Euro). Für die gepanzerte Tank Military Edition werden 295.000 Dollar (263.000 Euro) fällig und wenn Sie das Flaggschiff Tank X a.k.a. das "Offroad-Supercar" Ihr Eigen nennen wollen, sollten Sie mindestens 349.000 Dollar (311.000 Euro) bereithalten.
Die Speerspitze des Modellprogramms hat den gleichen 6,2-Liter-Kompressor-V8 unter der Haube, den Sie auch im irrsinnigen Dodge Demon finden werden. Verglichen mit dem Tank X wirkt Dodges 852-PS-Muscle-Car-Dragster aber beinahe schwachbrüstig. Hier wurde der Achtzylinder nämlich auf 1.000 PS und 1.180 Nm Drehmoment gezüchtet. Diese drastischen Leistungsdaten machen den neuen Tank laut Rezvani zum "stärksten Serien-SUV der Welt".
Auch die Aufpreisliste für dieses in allen Belangen horrende SUV hat es in sich. Ein Nachtsichtsystem mit Wärmebildkamera kostet 6.500 Dollar, automatisch ausfahrende Trittbretter (vermutlich nicht die schlechteste Idee) sind für 2.500 Dollar zu haben. Dazu gibt es ein Ambientelicht-Paket für den Innenraum für 2.500 Dollar, ein extrem Offroad-taugliches Fox-Racing-Fahrwerk für 12.500 Dollar, ein Vollleder-Interieur für 5.500 Dollar sowie weitere verführerische Goodies wie klimatisierte Sitze. Sollten Sie Lust haben, die 400.000-Dollar-Marke zu knacken, empfehlen sich Dinge wie das 12.500 Dollar teure Focal Soundsystem, seitliche Kameras für 850 Dollar, ein Setup mit zwei Batterien für 2.500 Dollar oder ein zusätzlicher Gastank für 7.500 Dollar. Wenn Sie mögen kriegen Sie für weitere 6.500 Dollar sogar einen glitzernden Sternen-Dachhimmel wie ihn unter anderem Rolls-Royce anbietet.
Der "normale" 2020er Tank kann auch mit einem 285 PS starken 2,0-Liter-Vierzylinder-Turbo geordert werden. Der ist laut Rezvani aber lediglich für den Export bestimmt. Die Amis wollen dann doch etwas mehr Fleisch, wie es scheint. Kriegen sie auch, in Form eines ebenfalls 285 PS starken 3,6-Liter-V6 oder eines 6,4-Liter-V8 mit 500 PS. Frugalistisch veranlagte Tank-Kunden können zudem einen 3,0-Liter-V6-Diesel ordern. Auch er leistet 285 PS. Der erwähnte Tank in der Military Edition ist mit dem 500-PS-V8, dem V6-Diesel oder dem 1.000-PS-Kompressor-Aggregat aus dem Demon bestellbar. Letzterer kommt mit einem unchristlichen 149.000-Dollar-Aufschlag.
In puncto Design hat der neue Rezvani Tank ebenfalls signifikante Änderungen über sich ergehen lassen müssen. Am auffälligsten ist der Schwenk hin zu vorne angeschlagenen Fond-Türen, die nun auch über echte Türgriffe verfügen. Das von allen guten Geistern verlassene SUV kann nun für einen Aufpreis von 2.500 Dollar auch mit einem Schutz vor elektromagnetischen Impulsen ausgerüstet werden. Es ist also theoretisch dazu bereit, in einen Atomkrieg zu ziehen.
Rezvani Motors wird in den kommenden Wochen die ersten Tank an Kunden, die vorbestellt haben, ausliefern. Neue Bestellungen werden ebenfalls entgegengenommen. Auch rechtsgelenkte Versionen sind machbar.
